The Trumpeting Swan calls

Mournful and sonorous
From the deep dead night
And passes over
In white feathered robed flight.

Mystic bagpiper
Winging silent
Through gathering shards
Of morning light.

The 1960's

The 1960's was the last great decade in America - with Perhaps the period of 1965, through the middle Seventies, as the most creative and altruistic.

Since then it has been a bitter-sweet, slip-slide ride, Farther away and more distant each day, from the Resplendent vision and promise that America once Held:

In the sanctum of her heart,
In the soul of her lands,
And in the currency
Of her mighty rivers.

Perhaps a great renaissance will beckcon and the Clarion calls of our newer generations, will found a Florence in their mind's eye, a passion in their breast, And a new found joy in the tenor and tempo of their Lives...
